After my friend Dana managed to trap a little dog (a 3 year old Havanese, who is available for adoption now) who had been running stray on her farm for 5 months, the coat was so matted and dirty that she was shaved down at the vet. The weather had just turned bitter cold and the poor thing looked naked so I knit her a sweater, as I was in the middle of knitting matching sweaters for my son’s dog and his friends’ dogs.
