I hope I have enough yarn.
Clue 1: Chart A
Clue 2: Chart B
Clue 3: Chart C
Clue 4: Chart A
This is the first mystery project that I have actually participated in. I signed up for the mystery stole project last summer that turned into Swan Lake, but I was traveling when most of the clues came out and I ended up not knitting it. I’m really having fun with this one, I started late but I got Clue 2 done on Sunday night, just in time for the corrections to Clue 3 to come out. Hopefully I will have it done by the time the next clue comes out. I chose charts A and B for the first two clues because I liked how other people’s projects had turned out, and chart C because it is looking like it has a lot of holes in it and I wanted a section with a bit more solid portions.
7/24/08 I want to get this done, I am working on it now but I probably won’t be done before the Ravelympics starts so it will be part of my challenge to finish it up. WIP Wrestling of course.
7/30/08 Still working on it, just finished section 3. Picked chart A for section 4 because I am not sure that I’ll have enough yarn as it is and I definitely won’t have enough for one of the longer charts.
10/5/08 Finished the edging very early this morning (1am) and grafted the edges closed. I also took out my lifelines this evening and now I am ready to block hopefully tomorrow. Boy do I hope none of the stitches come undone :)
1/11/09 OK I blocked this in October but I didn’t sew in the ends until today. It blocked out ok but the motifs are really much bigger than I thought they would be. Also since I was blocking while 9 months pregnant (nothing like crawling around on the floor trying to make a circle with a shawl :) ) it is not really as circular as I would like and I didn’t get it stretched out as much as I would like. I might try to reblock it later, but I will count that as part of ‘cleaning’ and just consider it done today.
