BE THEE WARNED you use basically almost every bit of each skein minus about a dozen grams by the end, so be very sparing on your cast-ons and your yarn ends.

To conserve, I abandoned the long tail cast-on (I saw several projects online saying they ran out of the dark blue/purple) and used only the third cast-on described in this youtube video https://youtu.be/OaJRWuqD_WQ?t=3m17s. I’ve started that link at the appropriate spot, it goes straight to that cast-on.

I highly recommend it as it gives a beautiful edging and saves so much yarn in the long run.

Also, PRO TIP, spend the time balling your colored skeins at the onset of your project. Makes moving to each colorway so much easier. I also kept each ball in a separate sandwich bag with it’s label, which I wrote a big A, B, C, etc. on the labels with sharpie so I could just grab the right color instead of trying to figure out which by shade I needed next. This was insanely helpful for those (like the yellows) that look very similar to each other.

Also also…I can not suggest this enough…DARN IN YOUR ENDS AS YOU GO. I would have murdered eleventy people if i have to do like 400 ends at once. Trust me, the 90 seconds it takes after each square is SO WORTH IT.
