I’ve never been a fan of Homespun because the texture makes it difficult to place stitches when crocheting. I saw Shawl in a Ball in the stores and the colors are attractive, so I picked up some. Got home and realized that I may have been in the same boat with texture. I had been making a few gifts in this pattern with the Mandala yarn already, and that’s when it hit me. Other than the first sc round, the placement of stitches is in a big enough hole to make it easy to use. Now that it’s done…..I am not sure I want to part with it as a gift. I did not put fringe on it.
