This took a lot longer than I expected and I wish I hadn’t written the name on upside down, but I like the way this came out.

Like the person who made the Chunky X, I think these letters look so much better chunky. Her X came out great. I did 7 SC across and it came to somewhere around 350-375 rows, but I also used a thinner yarn for the edging than the main letters.

The letters took the full skein of Impeccable and the edging took less than the skein of Red Heart Soft, but I still thought I would run out. If I had more, I would have done a row of SC around the letter edges first before adding the side on. I think the
Chunky X has cleaner edges as a result. The fact that I used a thinner yarn in a lighter color for the edge doesn’t help either.

This used a ton of stuffing.

This is just a Big E for my son who is a huge fan of the letter. It came out fine for what it is.

My husband said I should make W I N and G pillows to spell out the rest of my son’s name. I’m thinking the E is enough. It took a long time and I have other projects I’d like to do.
