FINAL NOTE
4/9/14 - My part is finished anyway … I decided after some thought to give this work-in-progress away to another Girasole fan who might like the color because I’m just not sure it’s the right color for my friend. Sending the project with the remaining yarn and best wishes on to another Ravelry knitter who wants to finish it. I’m very glad to know it will be finished and enjoyed. Many thanks for your interest!
3/9/13 - I LOVE this pattern. It looks so intimidating but it’s really not. Not so complex that you can’t space out a little bit, not so repetitious that it’s boring. I started on 3/4/13 (I think) and am already 1/2 way through chart C.
Thank you Jared!
4/17/13 - hasn’t gone as fast as I thought but it’s not the pattern, just haven’t been knitting a great deal in the past month.
Three things I recommend -- mark the chart rows off as you complete them, use a row counter (for sure!) and most importantly, use lots of stitch markers. I’m in the middle of Chart D and I’m using 20 stitch markers - one for every 4 pattern repeats (16 stitches). Knitting it this way I can count each section and I’ve managed to only skip one YO since I started. I have a different marker at the start, and a different different marker at the midpoint. This has helped a great deal, but this pattern seems pretty easy in my opinion.
4/6/14 - Argh! Still knitting this, turns out that the skeins were pretty different, darker, and I’m not wild about the color but I have to finish it so I’m back at it - 2nd repeat of Chart E is almost done.
