Notes

CO 8 pairs of sts (JMCO), knit 1 round, inc every rnd up to 40 sts, inc every other rnd up to 60 sts.

My first FLK heel! Not sure how I feel about it. It does seem less gappy at the turns than a GSR heel, which is nice. For working it in a contrasting color, you’ll want to turn your work and start the heel with a purl row on needle 2, instead of knitting across needle 1 (the top of the foot) and starting the heel with a knit row, otherwise you’ll end up with your main color working yarn on the wrong end of the needle when you finish the heel. Ask me how I know, lol. (Or you can knit the heel exactly according to the pattern and just slip the stitches to the other needle when you’re ready to start knitting in your main color again. I won’t judge.)

On needle 2 at the end of the last light purple stripe: k10, inc, k10, inc, k10.

On needle 2 at the beginning of the last light gray stripe: k11, inc, k10, inc, k11.

Cuff: 2x2 rib, 14 rounds.

Bind-off: k2tog tbl style.

I knit like 4 inches on the leg while watching knitting podcasts and Rogue One last night!

Finished the first sock and started the second one today. Added a couple extra rounds to the toe on the second sock.

Putting the heel in on the second sock today.

21.08.2017

Forgot to do increases on the leg of the second sock. I do not care enough to fix it. :P

Bound off yesterday or the day before. Weaving in ends today. GAHHHHHH I HATE WEAVING IN ENDS! I need to get some of the darning needles that are thinner and have an angled end. My current set is pretty thick and they have straight ends and they’re great for worsted weight yarn but SUCH a hassle to use with fingering weight.
