Just got home from Paris and I am thoroughly exhausted. Tomorrow I’m going to wind my yarn and cast on. I’m excited to make this, because I really need something tangible and good to have come out of this trip.

I knit when I’m stressed. This hat is almost done, two days after casting on. These things are related.

After much trying-on and fiddling in the mirror, I decided to start the decreases after knitting to 9” from the cast-on edge (11 repeats of the cable pattern). I think the hat has sufficient slouch. :)

Aaaaaaand we’re done! I’m so happy with this. I think I’ll go down a needle size for the body of the hat if I knit it again, but I’m happy with how it turned out anyway!
