This is such a lovely knit! The perfect balance of relaxing garter and a beautiful lace.

I used DK yarn for mine ad it is really squishy and soft.
Make sure you check your gauge because the yardage recommendation is really on point. For the blue and grey I used mineville wool and I had to use a little bit of a second skein for the blue, not for the grey, that was interesting being the same brand and weight.

You can easily turn this shawl into a fade as there are a few transitions rows between the blocks

When Joji said she got inspired in the Canadian Rockies during her trip in the fall of 2018 I felt so lucky that I was testing this shawl for her. I live in Calgary, just at the doors of the Canadian Rockies, and I wanted to make a shawl that would bring her some more memories of this trip.
I got inspired by the blue of Lake Louise in Banff, which is a gorgeous lake of blue turquoise waters. Then I found this yarn that for me resembles a day in Lake Louse, the blue, the rocks, the sunshine.
