This shawl is a very pleasant easy knit. I would consider it adventurous beginner because of the lace part. The pattern is well written and easy to follow.

I used the steam method for blocking. Since it was all merino and kidsilk I was not worried , but I still used a cotton cloth to protect it . It turned out well. This is a very large project and my mats were not big enough but steam blocking worked great.

I changed my third colour a few times and frogged the third section when I was almost done, but in the end I am very happy with the result. It’s a light, fluffy romantic shawl.
