If you made any granny squares before you know addicting they can be. I literally couldn’t stop for a solid week making all these 44 elements for the large size tote! Along the way I had so much fun figuring out how to make 2 more complex elements, 2-color square, so a bit of intarsia in crochet. And the half-granny square aka granny triangle with RS rows only, done without breaking of any raffia.

I got this cool blocking board (made in Finland) for the granny squares from Fibre Space which made blocking/prepping them before assembly much easier.

I think my enthusiasm was so great that I regretted finishing it too fast. Moreover, the construction of this allows you for a variety of other options, therefore the pattern now has 3 versions for size and proportions!
