These started out as June socks for the Year of Socks 2024 but ended up in a timeout for a year for no fault of their own except for my need to cast on new projects. They had been cast-on as a pool project, then went off on vacation with me to the Azores in August, before their timeout.

Picked back up to finish in June of 2025! These are a gift from my friend Josh, who gave me this yarn from his Mom’s stash which she didn’t plan on using. I told him I would turn them into a pair of socks and the yarn would end back up with him

For these, I chose to do the pattern just on the leg at 72 stitches and the foot in stockinette as Josh is a size 11 U.S. men’s and asked for a plain stitch on the foot.
