Whenever I have to do the exact same thing multiple times, i always would PREFER to do them both at once which is why i always put together multiple ikea furnitures all at once and why i make multiple batches of cookies. this pattern SEEMED like it would be able to work in the same way

the thing they don’t show you on this pattern (the Extreme 2-in-1 Socks from Knitty) is how EXTREMELY difficult it is to tell apart two socks of the same color when one is inside the other…. and then you don’t really NOTICE when you double knit into the wrong sock and you have to knit backwards until you find the mistake….. this would be ok with 2 different colored socks, or maybe if you are much much faster than me at double-knitting.

anyway i did this on the mini, sock-sized (9”?) chiaogoo needles and i’m sure that didn’t help. maybe it would be better if i could stretch out the stitches on DPNs or magic loop but i hate DPNs with my entire soul and if i were doing magic loop i might as well just do 2 at a time magic loop. maybe this pattern will still be for you if you make fewer mistakes than me or if you are very quick at double-knitting, otherwise i’d recommend 2AAT magic loop. thats my final thots on this process
