Sorta kinda doing this pattern. The mohair will be in stockinette stitch & the other yarns in half linen stitch. (Decided not to include the dark blue wool.)

I didn’t slip the first stitch on RS or WS rows, KFB on the second stitch on RS rows, then started the linen stitch pattern on the 3rd stitch. (Because of the increase at the beginning of each RS row, the third stitch ends up being a slipped stitch.)

The bind off edge was curling & I decided to do a SC with the mohair all the way around, which used up all but about a yard of the skein.

This turned out bigger than expected. I should have stopped earlier, but it is what it is at this point. I crocheted a loop at the bound off end & sewed a button on the pointy, beginning end.
