I got this nasty yarn as a bonus with a large order from e-tent. I see it was manufactured in Canada by Anobilla. I haven’t been able to get rid of it, so I thought I might be able to put it to use by knitting a loose rectangle that I can then tie fleece strips to - as a snuffle mat.
I CO 60 stitches with the size 15 needles, knit 2 rows, YO, K2tog row, then alternate eyelet rows with 2 knit rows between. I decided the eyelet holes were too big, so I ripped back to the eyelet row & changed to the size 13 needles - better, but still too big. Started over with 64 stitches & size 11 needles. I knit 4 rows, then 3 row repeat of eyelet row (knitting first two & last two stitches), followed by 2 knit rows.
Well, I should have done two less repeats - I ran out of fleece strips. I cut the yarn at the unfinished end & made a holy mess of catching the live stitches, but was able to successfully bind off.
Afterthoughts - I should have made the holes smaller (smaller needles) or double tied the strips, which I should do on this one. Some strips have escaped during her more energetic play sessions!
