Took the existing pattern but knitting both socks at the same time on 2 long circular needles. First time knitting 2 socks at once and first time in decades knitting socks for adults.

The 1st 2 picks are the ribbing portion - a few rows in. The 3rd & 4th pics are a few repeats into the leg pattern, just before I started to work the heel.

These have their name because my goal was to finish them before my son was born so I could wear them in the hospital. I finished the socks in time but my labor was so quick I delivered in my street clothes and the socks didn’t make it on until I was transferred to the recovery ward.

I love these socks.
