10 Shawls in 2010 #10

Sept 4 - Finally using up this yarn. I bought it when in Seattle for a Victorian conference, and I hope to wear this in Montreal for another Victorian conference. I’m a geek like that. So exciting when the yarn changes colour. It’s so subtle and lovely

Oct 12 - Finished 2nd rpt chunk. The plan is to repeat the 1st and then bind off. Getting closer (but the shawl keeps growing).

This is a pretty easy pattern, but I keep forgetting that there isn’t a rest row, so I have to keep tinking on the purl side.

I looked at various projects. I like the shawls that grow up to 7 repeats across -- no more, no less. I calculated the yarn, and it looks like I should be able to achieve that with some room, but not enough room as to suggest I should do another series of increases to get to 9. I’ll have to do a low-key bind-off such as the crocheted method or a regular stretchy bind-off. No ruffles for me!

Each rpt now represents 5%
150 rows = 80%
154 - 85%
158 - 90%
162 - 95%
166 - 100%
