Sadly, I am going to frog this. I figured with 2100 yards that should be more than enough to do the shawl requiring 1650, even with the upsizing. Having used most of one ball of yarn, it seems I will be luck to finish it as written without the border with 2100 yards. I don’t think I want to do that. I was also hoping to have a couple balls for socks. I had been debating between this and the Shetland shawl, and I think that might be a better fit for this yarn anyway, but it’s too bad. I was pretty happy with how the pattern was turning out. Perhaps another yarn at another time… and plenty of it!

I have been waiting for my yarn to arrive for the Myrtle Leaf Shawl for the July KAL with the VLT group, but I couldn’t wait any longer to cast on a new project from VLT. While I’m waiting, I figured I’d start on this project. It uses up some stash yarn. I figure the pairing of a sampler shawl with a homey looking beige fingering should make a nice comfort shawl. Hopefully the increased size of yarn and needles don’t make it too ridiculously big, but if it does, I guess that’s part of the comfort.

Only 44 chart repeats! Sigh.
