The original pattern calls for size 20 thread and is more of a runner than a tablecloth. I decided to use size 5 thread so it’s coming out much longer and wider, just the size for my table!. I thought to keep it for my table for Christmas but … I might give it to my mother instead.

I love this pattern. Am ready to make another! The only problem is that I can’t walk around with it since I’m working from 3lb cones and it’s all in one piece, not motifs that I join together. Also, while the pattern is NOT difficult - it’s all filet - it does require more counting than usual because of the size and because the pattern can’t fit on one page.

So happy to be finished. I am convinced it will be a one of a kind since I don’t think I can make it again. But boy! it’s absolutely gorgeous! (the only reason I might be tempted to do it again.)
