Notes

Started as a top, turned into a dress. Wasn’t sure if I had enough yarn, or whether the yarn would match. Well, I found perfect matches in my stash. The top came from my head, used 5dc shells on the first row to give the neckline some stability, then switched to 3dc shells with chains in between to make it lighter in feel and look. The yarn is a bit heavier than dk, but not quite as heavy as a worsted, to my mind (and hand).

The skirt is made up of 2dc 2ch 2dc shells; 8 rows of dc shells = 6”; switched to tr tr in the white portion, and switched to a 4mm hook - 1 row = 1” with tr tr. Also kept the skirt narrow/straight by interspersing the regular shells with 2tr tr 1ch 2 tr tr shells at every 3rd shell in the white and 2nd orange. The red is really more of an orange.

3rd picture shows the changeover to the waist - sc and chain rows.

The last picture shows the cap sleeves, which are just a couple rows of chain and sc.
