I adapted this pattern to look more like Pascal from Tangled.

His top crest was made like this:

6 stitches in Magic circle, but do not close.
Ch1, turn - 2 sc in first stitch, 1 sc in next 4 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch (8)
ch1, turn - 2 sc in first stitch, 1 sc in next 6 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch (10)
Ch1, turn - sc in first stitch, ch 3, slip in next stitch, ch 3, slip in next stitch… repeat to end. sc in last stitch as well as slip. Finish off. Attach to crown of head.

I also needed to add a round to the eyelids to make them large enough to cover part of his eye.

For the stripes I just did a surface slip stitch across his body in a lighter green.

I also did a surface slip stitch for his mouth and then highlighted it with light green straight stitches.
