The name stems from the colors in this trivet - it looks like it is made from all of our favorite vegetables!
Ouch! Making bobbles with rug wool is painful. Be that as it may, I’ll get over it soon, and I seriously like the finished trivet (pre-felting). Eager to get it into the washing machine to see how it felts. I used 2 skeins of the brown, plus I had to break into the second skeins of every color but didn’t use much of the second skeins. I striped the back,carrying the brown up the sides so the outside edge on the right side would be one color, and so that I would have enough of the brown to finish the project. I probably only used 525-550 yards total (around 8 skeins), but had to have the 12 skeins on hand to complete the multi-color scheme. The felted trivet is 12” x 18-1/2”.
