Notes

Update 10-7-2012: Here is 5-year old Walter in his new hat - his clever mommy dressed him in his “favorite” tee shirt which obviously made my day : )
I highly recommend Vicki Square’s South American Join for jogless stripes. See bottom photo.
Here is how it goes:Work to last stitch of round before color change. Slip this last stitch knitwise. Temporarily remove end of round marker. Leaving the next stitch on the left-hand needle, Pick up (from the back), the stitch in the row below this stitch, placing it on the left needle. Slip this picked-up stitch knitwise to right needle. You have now placed two stitches on the right-hand needle. Using old color, Insert tip of left needle into front of these two stitches and knit (as in a ssk). Replace end-of-round marker on right needle and begin knitting next round using new color.
