10-15-2013: Serena died today and I will miss her greatly. So sad.

8-4-2013:Today is my neighbor Serena’s 87th birthday. This past year, she has spoken to me about wanting to learn to knit something using entrelac, as she finds it beautiful and intriguing. I’ve offered to help her learn the technique and gave her my entrelac book to study. She has proclaimed herself incapable of learning to knit in this manner. So yesterday, I decided to quick make her an entrelac hat to keep her warm this winter when she walks her dogs. Today I found out she is in the hospital with serious back problems. I hope the doctors are able to help her and it will turn out to be a happy birthday after all.
