Notes

9-13-2024: machine washed and dried - shrunk 2” in width and 2” in height. Looks great.

7-22-24: Set this blanket aside on 6-6-2024 to make a pet blankie. Picked it back up 7-22-24. Sewing strips together today and loving the colors!

This brilliant pattern by Woolly Thoughts uses only 10 colors plus a border color (I’ll use black.) The colors selectively-placed along with the holding together of 2 different colors (marled knitting) for most of the squares results in the appearance of 55 different colors resulting in a blanket that is math come to life!
Nine L shapes (knitting one at a time) with a final solid square in the tenth color to fill the final corner makes the knitting of a blanket in warm weather months a pleasure!

I plan to make this blanket for my niece Lily and her fiancée Starr for their wedding sometime in 2025.
