Update 4-24-2013: Just received photos of little Miss Nina (5-1/2 months old) and her mommy (our daughter Sarah); so cute, and the dress fits her right now!
Sending to granddaughter Nina, who lives in Augusta, GA; to wear during her first summer of life. I washed the finished dress in the washer and dried in the drier on low heat - all the way to fully dry, and it came out perfectly - no pills, nice even stitches and very minimal shrinkage - hardly noticable.
Mods: replaced beading and scallops on ruffles with contrasting color trim - a purl row in the main color followed by one repeat of Ridged Ribbon Eyelet p. 175, Barbara G. Walker’s A Treasury of Knitting Patterns, and then Picot Hem, p 342, A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns.
