Love the Quince & Co. linen yarn. It already feels soft to knit with, and has beautiful color. Will look really great after a hot ironing.

Note: I have a belt I bought in 1967 when I was a freshman in high school. It has a groovy, Haight-Ashbury-summer of love-kind-of-vibe. I’ve kept it all these years - couldn’t part with it for some reason. When I saw this crocheted tunic in the summer 2014 Interweave Crochet magazine, I immediately thought of that belt and was so glad I saved it. I want to make this tunic for my granddaughter who is entering HER freshman year of high school this fall. Yes, although we are well into a new century, that girl is a flower child to be sure. I hope she will love wearing it, and the belt I’ve (apparently) been saving for her to wear with it ! Peace & Love everyone….

Update 7-14-2014: Miss Emma tried this on today and quickly nixed the tunic length - she wants to wear this crocheted piece as a shorter, hip-length top. So the belt idea is out-the-window :(
But on a positive note - it means three wonderful things: it fits her perfectly, I’m nearly finished (will leave out most of the color blocking at the bottom), and best of all… she likes it :) Note to self: Remember to put that belt in the Goodwill box!
