So far, both of my old pairs of 29” circular needles (Susan Bates Silvalume and Clover Bamboo) have broken during knitting this cotton rope.
I’ve now switched to an ancient pair of 14” straight aluminum needles size 13s (9mm) which are a bit too short and will be hard to use. But will soldier on!
Ended up ordering 16” long straight metal needles in order to more comfortably complete.
