Don’t worry - when you start this project, it is twisty and wonky. It gets straighter as it gets larger, and careful blocking, if needed, will make you happy with this project.
My square is a bit smaller than the designer’s, as I am using a 3.25mm hook instead of the 3.50mm hook called for in the pattern.
Pre-blocking, the inner square measured 10” square.
Pre-blocking, at finish of border #2, it measures 18” square.
Finished square pre-blocking is 21”.
Final photo after blocking = 22” square.
Will hand-sew to 22” zippered Navy blue pillow cover.
