I ran across this pillow design months earlier. When my friend, Sally, asked me for a donation to the Love of Paws silent auction, I knew I wanted to incorporate the pattern into an afghan.
I’d recently seen photos of graphghans made using the corner to corner (c2c) stitch pattern, and as I had used it several times, I decided to go that route.
I must say, I did lots and lots of frogging and surgery (my term for cutting out sections and splicing in corrections). Around a third of the way in, I began wondering if I’d bit off more than I could chew. I stuck it out, though, and by the time I’d hit the part where I could begin decreasing the rows, I knew I’d eventually complete it.
I now consider this afghan my Magnus Opus!
