Using Debbie’s Summer solstice mini set with one of my favourite colours to create a something breezy and cute for summer.

I could see making another one of these with a variegated yarn the way the designer intended. And a third in a monochromatic for drama. So many possibilities!

The short rows on the hem are brilliant and work beautifully.

Mods:

• I had to add more length (approx 2”) before dividing the front and back
• I thought the neckline wasn’t deep enough, so I added four rows to each shoulder after the shaping
• For the shoulder join, I tried the suggested Russian grafting, but it seemed too sloppy to me. I used three needle BO instead.
• When I knit the neckline finishing, it curled. I pulled it out and left all edges (sleeves and neckline) raw.
