3/19 I got some circular 9s and in switching over to them was able to see some mistakes pretty far back in the expansion section. Since they were in yarn-overs/decreases I couldn’t really drop down and work the individual stitches back up to fix it. Had to rip back like 20 rows last night. :(
However, I get the pattern a lot better now so fixing it should go quicker than the original knitting.
3/18 I’m not sure how to estimate how far I really am in terms of finishing - I’m in the main expansion section (fingers and membranes) and have 7 repeats of the expansion rows left to do. I got a lot of knitting done this weekend and with work being closed for snow Monday. I am sort of amazed at how many stitches I currently have squished onto my regular straight needles, heh. (I can’t find any or my size 9 circs so I am getting some more this afternoon.)
Overall I like the pattern, I think I will end up knitting more than one. However, I couldn’t give it a 5/5 because I found some of the directions confusing. I was able to figure out what was meant each time but not without a little frustration. If I knit another one I may write up a short notes version for myself explained in a way I can grasp more quickly. One of the big changes is that I would put the stitch markers in a different place which would make the repeats within each row easier to remember. I also think I will change some of the choices of which increases/decreases were used.
Despite these concerns, it is really nice pattern idea and I definitely am enjoying knitting it.

Ended up frogging this because I decided I didn’t really like it in this yarn and I wanted it much much bigger. Ordered a yarn specifically for it and will do again.
