Excited to start this project!

To keep track of my center stitch easily, I used a (very) thin stitch marker to place between st.#3 and#4 at the M7. When in row 14 again, I took it out, M3, placed marker back, M4, knit till end.
Used the very thin half of the marker only in row 14. Other rows, bigger half.

Done! Absolutely lovely.
(Just needs some blocking is all.) Update: no blocking here, nonononono! Did that with the second one in copper colour Schoppel-wolle and it wasn’t good. Made the shawl look worn out. These materials are quite similar: dry, felt-y merino’s virgin wool. I’ll never block this kind of wool again.

different next time:last repeat of 11-14 before bind off in garter, because the b/o edge curls heavily.
And, of course: no blocking.

The yarn gets four stars. I love the colours and the fabric is exquisitely light and warm. But, alas: two knots in it, causing abrupt colour changes… that’s not good in a gradient. It’s a striped shawl so i’ll get away with it, but still.

I love this cute little pattern! Easy to memorize, no fussy techniques and a gorgeous result. It’s PERFECT for gradients. Knits up quickly, so great for gifts.
