01/09/14: After passing on the tubular cast on, and knitting almost 12 inches, the yarn broke at the cast on edge. I guess this yarn really needs the flexible tubular cast on. Frogged back and cast-on again using the tubular method and all is good.

31/12/14: Last day of the year and finally bound off the scarf using tubular bind-off as instructed by Very Pink Knits online tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNbanlVzbxw). I found the BT instructions for the bind off confusing but the online tutorial was very easy and achieves the same effect.

Finished and blocked!
