Fewer rows for the neckline ribbing because I didn’t want the mock-turtleneck look (about 8 rows). Used an Italian cast on, knitted one row flat before joining in the round and starting the twisted rib - think this looks really neat.

First fade when towards the end of the yoke, making sure it finished before the short rows.

Used a provisional cast on for the underarm stitches. Fade on body starts after 13 rows of body have been worked from underarm cast-on.

3/4 length sleeves. 10 rows of ribbing at te bottom of the sleeves, tubular sewn bind off. 16g of second ball of Bramble Wine mohair left after both sleeves are done; this is approx 36 rows of body if I mathed correctly (more than enough for crop).

Started ribbing on body well before indicated by pattern for the crop (body length before ribbing 7.5-8 inches), it already looked almost long enough. Did 3x decrease rows (decreasing 4 sts each round) for waist shaping before starting ribbing.

Sweater got a lot longer with blocking (about 2”) but I don’t really mind, especially since I left it extra short!
