November, 23rd
I’ve just purchased the pattern..I’m so excited !

November, 29th
I’m trying to adapt the pattern to my own handspun dog’s wool but I have some HUUUGE issues with the gauge : my yarn is 19 stitches for 10cm instead of 36 in the original ! I don’t know if I will be able to change the stitches number without re-writting the WHOLE pattern…
I feel the BIG headache coming soon !
Of course, I could spin another yarn in the right weigh, but dog’s wool is too much fragile to bear lace weigh…and I really want to use this dog’s hair !

December, 5th
Voila, the first fish is nearly finished. I had a lot of problems with the entrelac, because I didn’t understand anything about the explanations. I had to search a much detailed tutorial with pictures in a knitter’s encyclopedia.
On the other hand, I had to entirely adapt the pattern by Laurie, because my gauge was totally out, as I said previously…
Now I’m going to knit the second fish BEFORE I forgot all the changes I made, lol, and I’m looking for eyeballs to sew on my proud animals !

December, 29th
I can’t find glass eyes in France….Only in USA and the seller refuses to ship thel overseas ! So I had to knit wool eyes…
Oh, and yes ! I added a pectoral fin !
The mouth isn’t ready yet, and I have to hurry because I want to offer these fishes to my friend for the new year !
