Notes

I am knitting MMario’s Templeton, and I plan to add the edging from the Star Light Star Bright pattern, but I will knit the edging on rather than knit it separately and sew it on. My inspiration for combining these patterns came from Raveler suespins project page.

I used Rosemarie’s Belly Button Start for Circular Knitting and magic loop. This is my favorite way to start a center-out shawl. IMO, magic loop is vastly superior to trying to start out with dpns, and having the “umbilical cord” to hold on to makes it all go very smoothly.

I’m not really loving the yarn. It’s very easily split, but it is also very soft and machine washable, both of which are plusses for a baby blanket. And it’s well-priced, too, so I guess I’ll put up with the splitting.

1/20/18 I am on round 65. The charts are easy to read and easy to follow. I’d like to have the blanket finished by the end of the month, but I don’t think that is a realistic goal.
