6/15 - Sewed on the buttons! Weee, so cute.

6/14 - All done, blocking - just need to add buttons. I’m not 100% happy with my work on the button band - the button holes look weird. I wish I had done this band with a smaller needle size, I think it would have worked better.

6/1 - UUUGH, ran out of the Marine Heather, with about 10 rows on one arm to go, and the front ribbing. Hoping to find some. Also, seems like the body is a bit longer than needs to be - may rip back a bit, but still don’t think I’ll have enough yarn.

5/27 - Through chart, have about 3” left in body. I am so happy with how this is turning out.

5/25 - Spent several hours tonight fiddling with the design to get it to look the way I wanted, and to fit the waves into the pattern. I want this to look a little more random/natural than the same wave and cloud shapes over and over. I’m hoping it winds up looking “organic”, and not like a bunch of mistakes. We’ll see. Cast on and got through 17 rows of the 35 row chart.

Initial Notes

Modified pattern - change sheep to wave pattern, with a few yellow fish in the body. Ordered yarn 5/21

Use the top half of the wave chart from hello yarn, use the fish design from the Swedish Fish socks.

Use intarsia technique to make the top half of the button band ribbing match the sky/light blue, and the bottom half to match the water/dark blue.
