Love the top, but the pattern had some issues with incomplete info, confusing instructions, and parts where you’re pretty much on your own as far as figuring out what to do. I worked it all out though and do love how the top came out.

FYI:
Pattern calls for an H hook, but I know from a previous pattern of hers that it will be ENORMOUS if I use that, so I went down a hook size to a G. Fits PERFECTLY (I wear a Women’s medium normally)

Round 11 is where you’ll begin your decreases which will form the points of the pinwheel. Please note that you will be skipping a dc both at the beginning of each pinwheel point AND at the end of each pinwheel point on these rounds. You’ll be decreasing 2 stitches from here to the end of the points.

When you get to ROUND 20, you will HAVE to SL ST over into the next loop before starting that round AND every subsequent round!! DON’T make the same mistake I made and keep following the pattern at that point because you’ll end up with odd extra loops. I had to rip out HOURS of work b/c of her oversight there. VERY frustrating. Anyway..yeah..begin round 20 by slip stitching over into the next loop and THEN chain 7 and start making your loops.

I connected the sides of my top, as I didn’t like the open look. I did so like this:
Attach yarn to a loop under the armpit, ch3 and attach with a sc to the loop opposite that one (from the loop on the front of the top to the loop opposite it on the back of the top). Ch3 and connect with a sc to the loop opposite that loop, ch3 and connect with a sc to the loop opposite that loop…etc etc back and forth until you’ve reached the bottom. If you do it this way, you can’t tell where you connected. There’s no seam at all. It just continues that mesh pattern you’ve been working and makes a very neat finish :)
Note: I joined the sides AFTER I’d connected the front and back of the top with the ribbed dc hem at the bottom.
