Initially I meant to make this cardigan from stash with Lettlopi held double with a strand or two of mohair, but once I read the pattern I decided to try it in something cheap first to avoid further frustration and disappointment.
Stumbled upon this yarn when I found myself at JF for the first time in years, looking for dpns on a Sunday morning…I was surprised to see 100% wool there, and it was exactly what I needed.
Yarn is very loosely spun with barely any twist and I’m sure it’ll pill. It’s also pretty dry and rough initially. Hit st gauge with US10s but my row gauge is off as usual: 23r vs 19r per pattern (once I decipher the instructions, I may chart it out to double check measurements and ease and adjust for row gauge).
The swatch did soften and gain drape after washing and gauge remained the same (some have mentioned issues with this yarn growing after blocking).
Will likely overdye--nothing white is safe around me--and maybe experiment with eco printing.
