I used Red Heart Super Saver light gold and Homespun brown for the first bag. I made the granny squares four years ago and forgot about them. I just added the brown Homespun border and made the purse with them. I love the odd shape. I lined the bag with a rich textured silky batik fabric and added a pocket, as well as adding bamboo handles with gold hardware. The second bag is made with Lion Brand with Love yarn and Red Heart Super Saver in navy, cream and green. The bag is double lined with a home decor fabric and muslin. A pocket was also added. Bamboo handles are used and lining fabric is used for the tabs that attach the handles to the bag. I love the colors in this one. The third bag is made with cotton yarn in shades of blue, green and aqua, with a cream colored background. I lined it with batting and then a home decor fabric. It has bamboo handles and an inside pocket. The lining fabric is used for the tabs that attach the handles to the bag. The fourth bag is made with cotton yarn in shades of blue and purple on a cream background. I ordered purple leather handles to finish this one off just right.The fifth bag is done with different shades of cotton yarn on a cream background. The shoulder straps are made out of the colors in the bag and braided for extra strength. Like the others, it is fully lined with an inside pocket and magnetic closure.
