This pattern is a real challenge for my novice skills. It’s my first time knitting from a chart and I keep losing my place. Once lost, I can’t figure out from previous rows where the yo’s and ssk’s should go, whereas normally if I get stuck I can usually guess which stitch is which. My diamonds have got so out of whack I’ve just ripped back to the sleeve separation. And now that I’ve ripped back I can’t figure out which row of the chart I need to go back to.

There is a typo in the pattern that was first pointed out to the designer years ago and yet it’s still there in the copy I bought last month. I also noticed on the pattern page that the designer has not responded to any questions in years.

My first time doing magic loop for the sleeves.
I started out making the 6mo size but have knitted the body to the 9mo length as my recipient has changed to an older baby. Will also knit the sleeves to the 9mo instructions.
