Notes

US 4 needles and 8 skeins of a laceweight Ice Yarns linen blend. Stockinette gauge: 23 to 4 inches.

I eliminated the crocheted mesh yoke and sleeves. My gauge was completely different from the pattern. I also deepened the neckline, and added a simple chain stitch edging to neck and armholes.

What I really liked about this pattern, which justified eliminating all the really nice details, was the soft ribbing at the waistline, which gives some gentle shaping.

The ribbing gets lost visually in the slubby texture of the yarn I used, but it still does it’s work I think. Also, the pattern was designed with the stockinette side as the right side. I put this vest together so it is reversible, but I tend to wear the reverse SS side on the outside.
