It took 2 skeins of 50 gr Mosaic Mohair with two strands held together. My gauge was 3 hdc to 1 inch.

I started with 8 sc, increased each stitch for row 2. I used front post increase for row 3 and 4, no increase for row 5 and 6.

I resumed front post increase at row 7. Project now measures 6 inches across.

I continued without increases for 6 inches and then changed to K hook and added another 6 inches.

I like that the hat is reversible. On one side the front post ridge is on the body of the hat; on the reverse side, the ridge is on the brim only.
