Cast on for the medium size. After having done a swatch, my sizing shows I should use a size 7 needle. After having read lots of notes from projects, I’m going to use a 7 for the neck and then to go an 8 for the rest of the body (keeping to the size medium pattern) to give the cardigan a bit of ease. Hopefully my plan works and it will fit perfectly.

Oh no… getting to the end of ball 3 of the yarn and I won’t have enough to finish the sweater. That was all the yarn that was available at the Sheep and Wool Festival in NH… I couldn’t have gotten more… so now I have to either frog the project (NO!!!!), or see if I can find a nice complement to the yarn so I can finish off in a different color. Went to one yarn shop and didn’t find anything that would work. Will try another today.

Whew, done and blocking now.
So, I used a size 8 needle for the project, only using the size 9 for bind off.
I used just a hair over one ball of the o-wool yarn (I’m glad I ended up getting two hanks of it, otherwise, I’m certain I would have run out of it)…
