Hit row 78 of 194 today. I’m hoping to get this done by Thanksgiving so I can take it to my sister for framing instead of mailing. We’ll see how that goes.

I finished row 115 tonight. That means 79 more rows to go! With the 5 border stitches on each side, plus the bottom border row, I’ve already crocheted 18,550 stitches on this piece. Each row takes an average of 30 - 40 minutes because of all of the color changes, but I got about 10 rows done today. This takes me to 60%

I need to have this done in 6 weeks at the latest, or 42 days, so I need to crochet at least 2 rows per day on this, not including the 5 rows of top border.

Finished row 130 today. That’s 67%. I’m beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I might even be able to finish it on the trip to AZ the family’s taking for Thanksgiving. If I can, my sister will have that much more time to get it framed for Christmas.

Row 142 of 194 tonight - about 73% You can see just the start of his eyes!

So thrilled with how this is coming out.

I’m ahead of where I need to be, so I’m hoping I can get it to my sister for framing early.

Finished row 154 today. You can see eyes!

This is about 80%! Still need to get 2 rows done a day in order to finish in 3 weeks, but I’ll be in AZ visiting the family for a week of that, so gotta keep going. :)

Finished row 162 today. Have to make up for a lost week over Thanksgiving. I was in AZ visiting my mom, so couldn’t work on it.

That’s 83% and 25,885 stitches if my math’s correct.

Finished row 173 tonight. Only 21 more rows to go, not counting 5 border rows. Just about 90%!

Finished row 186. That’s 96%! Just 9 more rows left, not including the five border rows. Their working up faster now - about 15 - 20 minutes each instead of the 30 - 45 the other rows were taking.

Will definitely be done in time, so long as my wrists recover soon!

Finished this last night! 100% woohooo!

My darkest gray yarn did run out so I only worked to row 192 in the pattern - just two rows missing, but you can’t really tell.

Final piece is 31,310 stitches including the borders and measures 37” x 41”.

Definitely need to ensure yarn is consistent weight (some of the “worsted weight” yarn I used was close to DK than worsted) so that I don’t get ripples in the next piece. Other than that, I’m pretty happy with the way this turned out. :)
