Notes

Easter gift to my daughter’s homeroom teacher.

2.5mm hook for the bunny
2mm hook for the flower and carrots
3.5mm hook for the lid cover

8mm safety eyes

27g of pale grey yarn (bunny)
16g of green (jar lid)

Jar lid cover: yarn held double.
Carrots and flower: made with embroidery thread

The bunny and carrots were crocheted using the yarn under / yarn over technique. For everything else I used yarn over / yarn over stitches.

Pattern for the carrots: https://youtu.be/ecpCeL5PcaE?si=K8qmVrOF_unkahBf

Instead of crocheting the carrot leaves I simply attached a few small pieces of yarn (in the same way you would do it when attaching fringe to a scarf).

The lid cover is a regular crochet circle made in continuous rounds. When the circle was large enough to cover the top of the lid I stopped increasing and made one round of school stitches in BLO. I made a few more rounds through both loops until the side of the lid was covered, and finished it with a scalloped edge.

I sewed the bunny to the lid cover and glued the cover to the jar lid with hot glue.

I repurposed a jam jar for this project.
