Finished knitting! I used the Pembroke Scarf bind off (alias Super Stretchy Bind Off) with US 5 needles. Now three more of my stash yarns are completely used up!

I have enough of the coral Cascade Ultra Pima (0.85 skein) to finish this shawl with the Silverleaf pattern. What a good idea. It’s challenging though. I’m glad that I have both the written instructions and the chart to work the lace pattern. They give me different perspectives of the same thing.

I am making the lace panel first and following it with a garter stitch panel. This assures I have enough yarn to do both. Again I’d like to use up the Pima yarn if possible.

Thinking how to use this yarn since I have so many colors and the Caron colors weigh 20 grams each. I’m using the leftover grey yarns first. Then I’ll use approximately 20 grams of each color after that to gradually create smaller and smaller stripes. I’ll start each color with a row of eyelets to make the color transition invisible on the wrong side; then this part of the shawl will be reversible. Peach & apricot will be the repeated colors with the Caron colors in between.

This will be the color sequence, with the objective of using up as much yarn as possible:
Dark grey- Colleen’s
Light grey- Caron X Pantone Bamboo
Peach- Colleen’s
Dark beigh- Caron X Pantone Bamboo
Light beigh- Caron X Pantone Bamboo
Apricot- Don’t know where this came from.
Light green- Caron X Pantone Bamboo
Peach- Colleen’s
White- Caron X Pantone Bamboo
Apricot- Cascade Ultra Pima- Coral
