Notes

The Pattern:

The pattern is for the most part easy knitting although it does involve carrying numerous stitch markers on the needles, all of which are important ~ should you lose one and not realize … well let’s just say it was easier to start again. Lesson learned.

The lace border was again a lot easier than it looks involving nothing more than a yo, ssk, k2tog and more stitch markers. The only point to note is that when reading the chart start with row 1 on the RHS and then read row 2 from left to right etc. I bet you already knew that right? At first glance I thought the chart was reversible (ie can read all rows from right to left) alas it’s not.

I love the finished shawl! It is so pretty and delicate. The Looped Picot Bind off adds a playful edge.

The Yarn: Madelinetosh Merino Light

Cannot say enough about this yarn except that I now need two skeins of each colorway! It is just so beautiful to work with; the only problem is where to hide it from the hubby!
