I was inspired by a Bonnie Barker pattern in her pamphlet, Caps, Cowls, & Mitts. The first pair of mitts has the cable stitches that I used. My pattern has a thumb and goes up to the fingertips for extra warm. You can roll them down for the more traditional lower fit.

As always, I wish the pattern had a chart. I drew a chart for my own pattern, of course, and I guess I’ll draw one for Barker’s pattern myself so I can make the mitts that she designed another day.
